1967 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible

This 1967 Oldsmobile 98 convertible is finished in gold with a tan soft top over beige vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 425ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a beige boot cover, 14″ steel wheels, power steering, power-assisted brakes, air conditioning, an AM/FM Wonder Bar radio, and power windows and door locks. The car was acquired by the current owner in April 2016, and work performed in 2021 included replacing the battery, rear coil springs, and convertible top switch. This 98 convertible is offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with manufacturer’s literature, partial service records, and a clean Texas title.

The car is said to have been repainted gold under prior ownership and features a power-operated tan soft top with a beige boot cover. Additional exterior details include Ninety-Eight badging, bright-finished rocker panel trim, chrome bumpers, quad headlights, and rear fender skirts. Steel 14″ wheels wear Oldsmobile covers and are mounted with 235/75 American Classic white-wall tires. The car is equipped with power steering and power-assisted four-wheel drum brakes. The seller states that the rear coil springs were replaced in 2021.

The cabin features front and rear bench seats upholstered in beige vinyl that extends to the door panels and is complemented by a brown dashboard and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, faux woodgrain accents, lap belts, polished door sills, an AM/FM Wonder Bar stereo, power-operated vent windows, and power windows and locks. Wear is visible on the driver seat outer bolster.

A three-spoke steering wheel is mounted to a tilt-column and fronts a 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel gauge. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 700 of which were added under current ownership.

The 425ci Super Rocket produced 360 horsepower when new. Work performed in 2021 included an oil change and replacement of the battery.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo 400 three-speed automatic transmission. An aftermarket muffler has been fitted, and corrosion is visible on underbody components.
